Ares Galaxy vs iMesh

If you’ve ever searched the internet looking for a P2P software to use and download, you’ll have found that there are simply so many different ones to choose from and it can be hard to distinguish between them. Two of these that you’ve probably come across is Ares Galaxy and iMesh, both have their advantages so in this article we’re going to be reviewing both and telling you which one would be better for you to use. Let’s start off with the very basics of what you need from a P2P network and what our download does for it.

The most obvious thing that you need is a large amount of files in the network. If this is limited, there really is no point in using it as you’ll hardly ever be able to find what you’re looking for, meaning you’ll have to go elsewhere for your download anyway. iMesh is one of the oldest P2P networks around, existing for many many years, and unfortunately it has lost a lot of users since its peak days. For this reason, there isn’t as many new files so you probably would struggle if you’re trying to find anything remotely recent. On the other hand, the one we offer that is growing every single day and when more users join it, the number of different files also increase. You can be sure that no matter what you’re looking for, you’ll be able to find it in the P2P network included in this tool.

Another thing you should always consider is the type of network itself. A centralised network can make things easier to manage for the developers but it does mean it can be shut down very quickly and easy, leaving users in the dark without the ability to download any files. iMesh currently works on this basis so some may argue that this is not a long term download as you may be looking for a new P2P client in the future anyway. Our Ares free download is completely decentralised which is exactly as these networks should be these days, it makes them so much more difficult to shut down and allows everyone to continue to download files without worrying if the network will be online or not.

Cost is another major point that will go through people’s minds all of the time. Our tool is completely free – the download is free and all of the downloads that you make are also completely free no matter how much you download, although bare in mind your internet service provider may charge you if you go over any bandwidth caps you may have. Unfortunately, this is not the case for iMesh. You’re able to download 30 second previews of songs and that’s about it, you have to actually pay for each download or pay for a subscription which can work out to be very expensive. There is no way around it and if you don’t have much money, our software is definitely better on this part. Remember to support the developers if what you’re downloading is good, though.

Flexibility in a P2P network is also very important. There needs to be enough types of files supported and enough features to make you want to use it regularly and this is something that iMesh significantly lacks. For example, you can only actually download songs through iMesh, no other type of data. This is the complete opposite of our Ares download which allows you to download songs, movies, software, games and many others. Our client also supports the torrent protocol which puts multiple pieces of software into one, you’ll only ever need this one for your downloading needs.

In conclusion, after looking at the various different aspects that we have in this article, it should be very clear who the winner between our P2P network and iMesh is. They both do the job they’ve been made for, but unfortunately iMesh is very limited in many different areas which makes it very impractical for any user looking to download on a regular basis. You’ll never have any of these types of problems when you use our free download so we would always recommend that you use that instead. You can go ahead and do that now by using the download link we’ve provided on our website.
