Basics
System Requirements - Whilst the program has been built to give maximum compatibility, not every computer and not every setup will be fully supported. This is something that can't be helped, with a huge variety of different architecture available on the market it's very difficult to create something that everything will be able to run, but we've tried our best to do so. To find out the exact requirements that you're going to need then it would be a good idea to read this page, where we outline some of the core and essential ones to things we suggest you have but are not critical to the operations of this application. The majority of people will find that they meet all of the requirements, anyway.
Installing Ares - Installing the piece of software you want to use isn't always easy for people, some don't have as much technical knowledge as others, especially the older generation. The one that remains constant amongst all, though, is that we want files and data without the huge cost associated with it these days. Nearly everyone wants to be able to install a tool such as Ares Galaxy, so you may need to follow instructions on how to do it if you aren't completely sure as of yet. You should find the process is exactly the same as it is with any other application you may have installed in the past luckily so there isn't a great learning curve for the vast majority of people.
Ares on Mac OS X - Mac OS X is an operating system that is fairly well known around the world and is getting more and more popular everyday, although the problem is that the vast majority of libraries that are required by big software corporations aren't supported, making app development very challenging, hence why there is no native version available at the moment. We put the blame on Apple for this, personally we'd love it if we could develop a full version for it, however it can still be executed using the tips that we're giving in this page but it may not run perfectly and will require some time and effort to get the whole thing working. Still, it is much better than the Mac OS X file sharing tools which are no match for ours.
Ares on Linux - Linux is something that nearly everyone in the world has come across, even though they don't know it. Huge companies around the world support their infrastructure using this operating system because it's very quick and powerful, it gives a wide variety of functions which makes it viable for both beginners and the average web user, to big corporations and tech geeks. This has the same problem as Mac OS X though, a lot of the consumer libraries required to connect to other users in the network is not supported by this, which makes connecting to Windows users rather difficult and will take more than just a quick fix. We can give some tips on how to get it running anyway though, which you may want to follow if you're interested.
Legalities - File sharing is something that is normally associated with being highly illegal and immoral, in fact this isn't fully the case. There are multiple different arguments regarding this, with countries around the world having different legislation to cope with this and even religions getting involved to make their opinions known. Everyone has a unique opinion but of course the only one that really matters is the one which is bound by law, so we think it's important that you know exactly where you stand before you go ahead and do anything and make sure you know that we don't support the actions and are not responsible for any of the consequences that you face as a result of either using this tool or downloading any of the files currently in the network.
