Searching - One of the biggest parts of the download process is searching for files, it is most of the time the part where people fail. If you don't know what you're doing when it comes to searching, it's likely that you're going to have problems getting hold of the desired content. There are multiple different fields of information you're going to need to enter if you're wanting the program to find exactly what you want, the more you enter the better. You have to remember that the program is just a machine, it can only guess what you're looking for and can't read your mind, so by telling it the name of what you're looking for as well as things such as the type of file, it just makes it easier and more reliable.

Choosing Files - When the results are being shown to you, you also need to know which files are good to go with. Choosing something that isn't really what you want will just lead to a wastage of bandwidth and your time - believe it or not you may not genuinely know what you're looking for yourself. Some people start downloading crazily without taking a good luck at what the contents of the files actually are, something that could be very harmful if you aren't careful. Whilst Ares Galaxy does a good job of filtering out unwanted data through automated algorithms, it is by no means perfect and does require a lot of caution before any data is ever transferred to your system.

Downloading Files - After you've browsed through all of the results that the software has decided were relevant to the query you entered, the downloading process can begin and the files can be transferred from other peers in the P2P network direct to your PC. This is obviously the most important part that people need, the whole purpose of a file sharing application is of course to download and upload data. There are some important things you do need to know when going through this though, you may even want to know about customizations involved to help quicken up the download speeds you're able to get, something that is often a big concern to our users. We want to help address that.

Security - Security is something that a lot of people don't think about the majority of the time in any aspect of life, they just go through whatever activities they want without thinking about the consequences. This certainly isn't a good idea and isn't when it comes to downloading files from the internet either. If you don't keep your system secure, you could face huge problems with malware and keyloggers that could effectively ruin your machine and steal important personal information. It could be challenging to actually get it fixed too, something that you shouldn't be risking especially because it isn't actually too difficult to keep yourself safe in the first place. If you follow basic guidelines you should never have any problems.
