Burn a CD in Real Player
CDs are a great way for you to keep all of your favourite music and videos in one place so you can listen to it and watch it wherever you go. They’re very common in today’s society, most people tend to burn CDs so they can listen to them in the car through the CD player. No matter what you want to use them for, you need to be able to actually do it by yourself so in this guide we’re going to show you how to burn a CD using the Real Player software. Let’s go through some of the steps.
The first thing you need to do is decide which songs you want on your CD. You have to remember that there is very limited capacity on a CD, you can usually only get 10 – 20 songs per disc so you really will need to take this into account. You might need several discs if you want to burn a large amount of music to make sure you don’t get bored of listening to the same tracks over and over again. When you’ve decided which tracks you want, you can carry on and start the burnig process.
The next thing is to click the “Burn” button at the top of the screen, it should be quite clear. When you’ve done this, a small interface should appear which allows you to choose many different options, the most important one being the type of CD you want to burn. You can choose from having a data CD which can store information such as spreadsheets and documents on and can only be used on a computer or you can use an audio CD which is the type you need if you want to play music from a CD player or any other media player.
Once you’ve set this up, you simply need to insert the blank CD you’ve bought previously into your computer and then select which media files you want to burn. You’ll be able to see the amount of spare capacity going down so you’ll know when you aren’t able to put anymore songs onto it, you might need to keep an eye on this if you’re planning on using multiple discs in one session. When you’ve located all of the files and you’re happy with all of the settings you see on the screen, you just need to click on the “Burn to CD” button and that’s it!
It shouldn’t take too long for the whole process to complete, depending on how many different files you’re trying to burn. The basic principle is that Real Player is very easy to use and can be much more effective than specialist software which burns CDs for you. If you don’t already have it installed, we recommend using our Real Player download which is completely free – the download link is available instantly.
